Hello everyone! So this summer I have a full time job 5 out of 7 days of the week and a ton of other art projects, personal projects and serious house/room cleaning that I intend to do. It sucks, I thought I'd have much more time this summer to do projects now that I was out of school (kind of, I have one demanding online class this summer to finish up GE's arrgh) BUT ... I was wrong. No time to do barely anything unless I squeeze hours and plan way ahead of time -__-
Well needless to say this past weekend my family and I went on possibly the only summer vacation we will all have together and fortunately we got to spend some time with my lovely cousins! We basically grew up together back in the day.
Sooo we went to Las Vegas! We drove more than half of the "vacation" days we had and spend about a 1 and 1/4 of a day in Vegas but, we made it worth it! I just wanted to share some pictures from the trip. My sister took all of these. And of course, some makeup related info. at the end :) Enjoy!

Despite the fact that I did take an Art History course last semester, this is how I deemed one should appreciate art. |
The Eiffel Tower ... in Vegas. |
The last restaurant we ate at before we left, Serendipity! |
The water show at the Bellagio. It has sound effects too. But it's most definitely most exciting and beautiful to watch at night. Have you seen the movie Ocean's Eleven? :) |
Another picture of me outside Serendipity. Super sweet place! |
I feel like this was the base of a number of post cards Las Vegas sells. I got to ride that rollercoaster with my mom! It cost $14 per person though T__T Had to walk for an hour across the strip to get there! Very fun though. Especially at night! |
When my sister holds the camera I tend to make ugly faces at her ... sorry guys haha. Ooh that cotton candy was excellent, they had cotton candy at a buffet! |
That's actually my sister's hand. She came with me into INGLOT and was swatching colors on herself too. Little copy cat! Haha |
This is my cousin's poochie that I love. |
A structure in one of the hotels. I think it was Bellagio? It was like Wonka land! But .. flowers instead of candy. |
Ooh and we watched the Jabbawockeez! Super cool :)
My sister nor I took this picture but this is basically what the stage looked like during some of the performance :) No pictures were allowed that's why we didn't get any heh
My cousins and I before we all departed + one poochie. |
The pre-show Jabbawockeez dude that I fell in love with from his silent humor and swag... |
There's the hotel we stayed at! |
Me enjoying buffet dessert ... bwaha |
Inside of the hotels. I love when they paint the ceiling like the sky :) |
My manly Airforce cousin deciding to give me an unexpected manly hug. |
I love all the ceiling art in Vegas! |
My most favorite hotel, MGM Grand. We got to stay there a long time ago when I was 8. I wish I had realized what a privilege that was 11 years ago! |
Me awkwardly posing ... Those white things above me is water shooting out of the ground and into the ground on the other side. Quite cool in my opinion :) |
More impressive ceiling art :) |
Another picture con corgis |
They were all sleeping but ... the parrots all looked like fluffy balls of fruit loops! So fluffy! and colorful! |
Ah yes ... we took this picture before we watched the show. That's my sister and I. |
You already know how much I love birds ... so ... |
And as promised, here are a few more pictures involving makeup ~
In Vegas I was lucky enough to come across an Inglot shop. I'd never seen one before and I'd been to their store online but, never bought anything. What I heard about them was they were known for highly pigmented eyeshadows, they were kind of exclusive and expensive. I didn't intend to spend any extra money on shipping if I ever bought from them online so I decided to try a few things out from them while I was already there.
I spent an hour in the shop and I tell you, it was a TINY shop. It was ridiculous how long I spent in there just trying to figure out what to buy. I knew everything was expensive but I wanted to buy items that
1. Could be used for a number of makeup tutorials
2. products I could actually use for myself on a daily basis
3. products that I could use for photoshoots
4. colors/products I didn't already have
So I was jumbling all kinds of thoughts at once in my head. I ended up spending about $60 on 2 eyeshadow colors from their Freedom Palettes, 1 shimmer lipstick and a case to hold the freedom palettes that apparently cost a chunk of money in itself ... which I was not happy about. I also bought one of their eyeshadow shimmer pots after swatching a ton of them on my hand, unable to choose.
Everything I bought. Do you also feel happy but kind of empty after spending so much but coming out with a tiny bag and so few products? It's insane! T_T |
I plan to do a video product review on all the Inglot items I bought this summer once I try them out and see how they uphold to the weather and such :)
As for the rest of Vegas, I didn't acquire much else during the short trip except for the following items:
A long summery dress. It's not normally my style but I tend to randomly buy things that people don't expect me to wear. My sister said it looked like it's for grandmas haha ... I hope I can pull it off! |
These were $8 from a kiosk in one of the hotels in Vegas. I bought them because they were unique and on the spot while I was standing there for 10 minutes trying to figure out if I wanted them or not, I was suddenly inspired to do a butterfly makeup look in the future, just from inspiration from these earrings. Many of you ask where my inspiration and ideas come from ... yup, it's random sudden things like this! |
With that said, I think that's enough pictures and talking for now. Hope you enjoyed the little insider!
Ooh and here's the trial makeup I did today. I want to film a Tweety Bird inspired makeup tutorial in the next week or so. What do you think? I think I like >>>> that side more and will base the final thing more off of that.
